A healthy diet plays an important role during IVF treatment and its success. A woman may benefit from making some dietary changes during IVF. The diets mentioned here will not only increase your chances of successful IVF, but you will also be better prepared for pregnancy. Let us know everything about the diet and nutrition during IVF.

Add Zinc-rich food to improve Hormones

Hormones play a very important role during the treatment of IVF. Zinc-rich foods help in balancing your hormones so that the process of reproduction takes place successfully in your body. Therefore, it is important to consume such things in your diet that has a good amount of zinc. For this, you can add coarse cereals, dry fruits (almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, etc.), milk and milk products, etc to your regular diet.

Diet to improve egg quality

If you are considering IVF treatment to get pregnant, Eat a diet rich in folic acid. Folic acid helps in curing problems related to pregnancy as well as improves the quality of eggs. Gynaecologist may also recommend folic acid medicines from the very beginning of pregnancy. Along with these medicines, you should also take things rich in folic acid in your daily diet so that it can be fully absorbed in the body. Include green leafy vegetables like spinach, fenugreek sprouted moong and eggs, etc in your diet in good quantity.

Add Protein-rich food

You must be aware that protein is considered to be the best for the muscles of the body as well as it proves to be very helpful for fertility (reproductive health) and hormones, during IVF treatment.
We should consume protein according to our efficiency. In this state, between 1-1.5 grams (according to working capacity) of protein should be consumed per kilogram of body weight. Take pulses, legumes, milk, curd, cheese, egg, well-cooked chicken, etc. in your diet.

Add Seasonal Fruits and Vegetables

Seasonal fruits and vegetables contain a good amount of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants which help in making the process of IVF successful. Fruits such as apple, orange, mosambi, pear, watermelon, peach, plum and in vegetables, potato, carrot, peas, brinjal, capsicum, gourd, pumpkin, spinach, fenugreek, etc. But keep in mind that these fruits and vegetables should not be sprayed with pesticides or chemicals. If possible, eat organic fruits and vegetables.

Hydrate yourself

Liquids have importance for women undergoing IVF as they will keep fluid levels in the female reproductive organs at healthy levels. Water is above all liquid diets. Take sufficient water and another liquid diet. But avoid caffeine, alcohol, tea, and soda.
